What is Ombre Brows?
A semi-permanent cosmetic tattoo procedure. "Ombre" is the gradation from light to dark; with the tail of the brows being the darkest and gradually lighter towards the front of the brows.
This technique uses a tattoo machine to implant pigment in the upper dermis level. The end result mimics a soft powdered look that can be customised to look natural or a makeup look.
How is this different from Microblading?
The main difference between the two cosmetic tattoo procedures is the technique and tool used. Microblading uses a manual handheld tool with micro-blade attached. The ink is deposited into the skin by curving cuts into the skin to create "hair-strokes". Ombre Brows uses a tattoo machine with a needle cartridge attached. The ink is deposited using a shading technique that create compact dots.
Benefits of Ombre Brows?
- Suitable for all skin types compared to Microblading.
- Last up to 3 years depending on lifestyle and aftercare.
- Can be customised to create a natural or makeup look.
- Low maintenance. With Ombre Brows you have a more defined shape, making it easier to groom the brows.
Like most cosmetic tattoo procedures, it is a (minimum) two-step process to achieve your desired result. Results will vary per individual depending on skin type, body reaction, lifestyle and aftercare.
